Linda and Dan on the Elizabeth T.

Linda and Dan Lunt welcomed me aboard the wooden lobster boat Elizabeth T. for a photo session. Actually, I welcomed them aboard because I arrived early to set up my camera and lighting. It was a blustery fall day with a hint of winter in the air. I met this couple last month when I charted the boat from the wonderful folks at Sail Acadia as part an event I was hosting for a large group of friends. The Lunts took us for a fantastic cruise on the waters surrounding Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park. Afterward I asked if they would be willing to pose sometime for an environmental portrait. Not only did they agree, but Karl Brunner of Sail Acadia offered us use of the Elizabeth T. for the shoot. Captain Dan and Linda were awesome models and Dysart's Great Harbor Marina where the boat is docked was the perfect backdrop. I lit these images with a Canon 600EX-RT flash in a 22" Lastolite softbox and shot with a Canon 5D3 and Canon 24-70mm lens.
